It has long been my philosophy that the best kind of care to provide is the kind that leaves parents saying, “I don’t have to worry when my kids are with you.” It is because of this philosophy, and my personal understanding of its importance, that Kindred Families was born.

I am Melissa, a life-long Bay Area resident, and mother to my amazing teenage son, Donovan. I have more than twenty years experience working as a nanny/family assistant, and large family daycare owner. In addition to working with families in a childcare capacity, I am also a two-time surrogate, having gestationally carried baby girls for two amazing families.
Connecting with families and becoming an extension of their lives is truly a passion of mine. Being entrusted with the care and carrying of other people’s children is a profound honor that I consider to be one of the biggest privileges of my life. I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to serve families and nannies in search of a fulfilling connection.
